Planetary Roller Lead Screw
1、 Principle and technical features
The planetary roller lead screw converts the rotary motion into linear motion. The transmission unit is the roller between the lead screw and the nut. The main difference between the planetary roller lead screw and the ball lead screw is that the load transmission unit uses threaded rollers instead of balls.
Compared with ball screw:
Due to the high number of contact points, the planetary roller screw can bear higher static load and dynamic load. The static load is 3 times that of the ball screw and the service life is 15 times that of the ball screw;
A large number of contact points and the geometric structure of contact points make the planetary screw have stronger stiffness and impact resistance than the ball screw, and can also provide higher speed and greater acceleration;
The planetary roller screw is driven by thread, and the pitch design range is wider. The lead of the planetary roller screw can be designed smaller than that of the ball screw;
